
Suicide Bombing and Armed Clashes; 20 Police Officers Killed in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
Bayan News – Pakistani media reported that early this morning on Tuesday (December 12), a suicide bombing followed by armed clashes occurred near the police headquarters in the city of Dera Ismail Khan in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
According to reports, after the suicide bombing, a group of armed individuals engaged in armed clashes with security forces of the country.
Initial reports indicate that in this event, 20 police officers in Dera Ismail Khan have been killed and at least 16 other officers have been wounded.
It is said that the attackers included two suicide bombers and five armed individuals, and it has also been reported that the initial attack was carried out with a truck loaded with explosives.
The responsibility for this event has been claimed by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group.
This group has recently increased the frequency of its attacks against the government of Pakistan and has challenged the security situation in the country.
