Visit of Afghan and Turkmen Foreign Ministers to Herat Province
Bayan News – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan has announced that Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting minister, has traveled to Herat province to welcome the Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan.
Hafiz Zia Ahmad, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, wrote on the X platform early Sunday morning (December 16) that the purpose of the Turkmen Foreign Minister’s visit to Herat province is to inspect the progress of joint projects between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan in the fields of economy, transit, rail, and energy.
Most of the joint projects between Afghanistan and Turkmenistan were inaugurated during the previous government but remained incomplete due to insecurity and instability.
The TAPI project is considered one of the joint projects between Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and India.
