The situation in Afghanistan is on the agenda of the United Nations Security Council; the council will hold a session tomorrow

Bayan News – The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) office announced that the United Nations Security Council will hold a session tomorrow, Thursday (December 20th), regarding the situation in Afghanistan.

In a statement issued today, the organization stated that the session will take place at 7:30 pm Kabul time, during which Rosa Otunbayeva, the head of UNAMA, will provide information to the Security Council about the situation in Afghanistan.

This is the second Security Council session held in the past two weeks with a focus on Afghanistan.

A few days ago, the council members also held a closed-door session with the participation of Afghan women activists to discuss the situation in Afghanistan.
