UNAMA: 25 Killed and Injured in Last Night’s Explosion in Barchi Dasht

Bayan News – The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) condemned the explosion in Barchi Dasht, Kabul, last night, stating that 25 Shia civilians were killed and injured in this incident.

In a message on Monday (January 7th), the organization added that UNAMA calls for an end to targeted attacks against civilians, increased protection for the Shia community in Afghanistan, and holding the perpetrators of such attacks accountable.

Around 6:20 PM last night, a city passenger minibus of the Caster model was targeted by an explosion in the Qala-e-Nazir area of Barchi Dasht, Kabul.

Kabul security officials reported that two people were killed and 14 others were injured in this incident.

ISIS claimed responsibility for this event.
