Taliban Interior Ministry: Four Individuals Arrested for Document Forgery at Kabul Airport
Bayan News – The Taliban Interior Ministry has reported the arrest of four individuals on charges of document forgery and possessing fake German passports at Kabul Airport.
Abdul Matin Qani, the spokesperson of the ministry, wrote on the X platform today, Thursday, January 24, that border police forces of the Interior Ministry detained four individuals who were attempting to travel to the United Arab Emirates using forged documents.
In close proximity to these individuals, a fake German passport was also seized. The person had entered Kabul Airport from Iran using the forged German passport.
Furthermore, the spokesperson of the Interior Ministry added that two other individuals who were previously on the no-fly list were also arrested at Kabul Airport while attempting to travel outside of Afghanistan.
However, over the past two years, document forgery under various titles for obtaining foreign files has been on the rise.
