Bayan News – Local sources in Nangarhar province in eastern Afghanistan say that the Torkham border crossing has been closed by the Pakistani government.
Hekmatullah, a Taliban commissioner at this border crossing, said that Pakistani authorities have once again closed the Torkham border crossing for traffic, in the early hours of Monday (March 24).
On the other hand, sources said that the Torkham border crossing has been closed following its own conflict between Pakistani border forces.
“Pakistani border guards” and the Federal Investigation Agency have accused each other of interfering in border affairs.
Pakistani authorities have not officially commented on the matter yet.
