Abdullah: Any Israeli action against Iran directly affects the situation in Afghanistan
Bayan News – Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, a prominent political figure and former head of the High Council for National Reconciliation of Afghanistan, defended Iran’s military attack against Israel.
Mr. Abdullah wrote on the X platform on Monday evening (April 14) that Israel violated international law, international conventions, diplomatic immunity, and international norms by attacking the consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria.
This political figure continued to write: “The response of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Israel is considered a defensive action and a reaction to the violation of Iran’s national sovereignty.”
Mr. Abdullah emphasized that the continuation of the ruthless killing of innocent people in Gaza by Israel and the targeting of children, women, international organization staff, doctors, and aid workers are the main causes of the crisis and tension in the region and the world.
He stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a neighbor of Afghanistan with religious, historical, and cultural ties and currently hosts millions of Afghan citizens.
Abdullah said: “Any Israeli action against Iran and the escalation of tensions have a direct impact on the situation in Afghanistan and have unpredictable and unfavorable consequences for the region and global peace and security.”
It is worth mentioning that the Taliban also reacted today to Iran’s military attack against Israel and considered it a justifiable defense.
