The Taliban criticized the regional trips of the US representative for Afghanistan

Bayan News – Coinciding with the regional trip of Thomas West, the US representative for Afghanistan, to Turkey, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman for the Taliban, criticized his trips.

Mujahid said in an interview on Sunday (May 26) with national television that West’s trips without direct contact with the current government in Kabul will be fruitless.

This Taliban official clearly stated in his interview that they are in contact with the countries in the region and these contacts have been beneficial for the Taliban.

The US representative for Afghanistan had said in his trip to Turkey that he had discussed with Turkish officials how to fight ISIS in Afghanistan.

Moreover, the US President has recently stated that the United States can control ISIS without occupying Afghanistan.

However, terrorist activities of ISIS have increased in parts of Afghanistan in recent months. In the latest case, the Khorasan branch of ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack on foreign tourists in Bamyan province.
