Saudi Arabia Condemns Deadly Israeli Attack on the City of Rafah

Bayan News – The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the continued killing and targeting of civilians in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli army.

The ministry said in a statement on Monday (May 27): “The Arab League has from the outset called for the immediate release of all hostages, and we continue with this effort.”

In the statement of the Saudi Foreign Ministry, the Saudi Foreign Minister is quoted as saying: “The goal of the extraordinary committee of Arab-Islamic ministers is to address the Palestinian issue.”

Faisal bin Farhan added, “I think the world agrees on the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages, but the humanitarian situation is deteriorating rapidly and completely unacceptably.”

He said, “The two-state solution is the basis for peace and security in the region.”

Meanwhile, the European Union is hopeful that it will host a number of Arab leaders and officials in Brussels in order to play a role in creating a permanent solution between Israel and the Palestinians.

In the deadly attack by the Israeli army on the civilian camp in the city of Rafah, at least 40 Palestinians were killed.
