The European Union Imposes Sanctions on Hamas Supporters

Bayan News – On Friday, June 28, the European Union announced the imposition of sanctions against six individuals and three companies accused of financing the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad movements.

In a statement, the European Council said these sanctions target three companies with “front names” that were established to facilitate the transfer of money to Hamas.

The statement named an individual called “Ahmad Sharif Abdullah Odeh” and stated that these companies are managed by a Sudanese businessman who had previously been sanctioned by the European Union.

Under these sanctions, the assets of the individuals and companies will be frozen, and these six individuals will be banned from traveling to the European Union territory.

Since the Palestinian Hamas movement’s attack on Israeli settlements on October 7, a total of 12 individuals and three organizations have now been subject to European Union sanctions.
