Bayan News – Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate and former US president, was attacked and injured in a shooting incident during an election rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday (July 13).
The published images show that Trump was wounded in the ear and left the electoral event with a bloodied face.
According to US media reports, the US Secret Service has stated that the shooter was killed.
The former US president said on his Truth Social network: “I was hit by a bullet that pierced the top of my right ear.”
Trump had just begun his speech when the sound of gunfire was heard. Secret Service agents gathered around Trump, and he disappeared behind the podium for about a minute before being quickly ushered into a vehicle.
According to the US Secret Service, the shooting appears to have come from outside the area secured by the Secret Service.
The identity of the shooter has not yet been revealed.
However, both Republicans and Democrats have condemned this attack.
US President Joe Biden said in a statement: “There is no place for this kind of violence in America. We must come together as a nation to condemn it.”
This shooting occurred less than four months before the November 5 elections, when Trump is competing against Democratic President Joe Biden.
