The Taliban’s Foreign Minister Holds Talks with the Head of Hamas Political Office

Bayan News – The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Foreign Minister, held a telephone conversation on Wednesday morning (July 24) with Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’s political office.

Suhail Shaheen, the Deputy Spokesman of the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry, wrote on the X platform that in this telephone call, the latest political, jihadi, and regional issues in Gaza were discussed and exchanged.

The Deputy Spokesman of the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry wrote: “He emphasized the efforts and sacrifices of the Hamas jihadi movement, the unity and steadfastness in the jihadi struggles, and considered its adherence to Islamic principles and values as the main principle.”

Mr. Muttaqi also welcomed the negotiations and agreements between the Palestinian groups in China and expressed support for what he called the legitimate resistance of the Palestinian nation.

According to the Deputy Spokesman of the Taliban’s Foreign Ministry, Haniyeh praised the Taliban’s position on Palestine and Gaza and provided information about the recent negotiations with Israel.

This telephone conversation takes place a day after Palestinian groups signed an agreement in Beijing mediated by China.

This agreement was signed after Israel increased its attacks in the Gaza Strip, which has repeatedly increased the number of civilian casualties.
