Conversation between Ishaq Dar and Filippo Grandi on Afghan Refugees in Pakistan
Bayan News – Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan and the country’s Foreign Minister, had a telephone conversation with Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, about Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently stated in a press release that the two sides agreed on obtaining sustainable solutions for the issues of Afghan refugees in Pakistan and the continued cooperation between Pakistan and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
According to the statement, Ishaq Dar and Filippo Grandi also discussed the protests near the diplomatic representations of this country in Frankfurt, Brussels, and London.
This conversation takes place as the Pakistani government has intensified the process of expelling undocumented migrants in recent days.
In the past week, more than 30,000 Afghan migrants have been deported from Pakistan.
