Ismail Haniyeh Buried in Doha, the Capital of Qatar
Bayan News – The funeral of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the Hamas political bureau, was held on Friday (August 2) in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and he was laid to rest.
The funeral procession of Haniyeh was attended by thousands of people, Islamic country leaders, his family members, Hamas officials, and the Palestinian Authority under tight security measures.
According to Arab media reports, the funeral prayer was performed for the head of the Hamas political bureau in the city of Doha after the Friday prayer, and then he was buried in the “Lusail” royal cemetery on the outskirts of Doha.
In this ceremony, Maulvi Abdul Kabir, the political deputy of the Taliban Prime Minister, and Anas Haqqani, the brother of the Taliban Interior Minister, also participated.
Iranian and Hamas officials have accused Israel of “assassinating” Ismail Haniyeh, but Israel has so far refrained from commenting on the matter.
Hamas has declared today as a “Day of Rage” and has called on its supporters around the world to demonstrate after the Friday prayer.
