Afghan Taliban claim to have destroyed two Pakistani army border posts

Bayan News – A day after the prolonged clashes between Taliban border forces and Pakistani military, the Taliban Interior Ministry reported the destruction of two Pakistani border posts.

Abdul Matin Qani, a spokesman for this ministry, wrote on the X platform on Tuesday morning (August 13) that the clashes between their border forces and Pakistani military had started yesterday afternoon in the “Ghorki” area of Torkham.

According to this Taliban Interior Ministry official, the reason for these clashes was that the Pakistani border forces had fired at the Taliban forces.

Some Taliban-affiliated media have reported on this incident that Taliban soldiers were building a security outpost in the “Buklin” area near the Torkham border, and Pakistani forces opened fire on them.

The casualties resulting from this incident are contradictory; some media have reported that four members of a family were killed in these clashes, and other media have reported, quoting their sources, that a mother and her child were killed by the impact of a rocket fired by Pakistani military.

Border clashes between the Taliban border guards of Afghanistan and Pakistani military are not new. In the last three years, this has been at least the nth time that armed confrontations have occurred between the two sides.
