A Pakistani political movement called for dialogue between the Afghan Taliban and Islamabad

Bayan News – Following the escalation of tensions between the Afghan Taliban government and the Pakistani government, the political movement of the Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan has called for dialogue between the two countries.

According to Pakistani media reports published on Saturday (August 24), Hafiz Na’eem-ur-Rahman, the head of this political movement, supports dialogue between the Afghan Taliban government and the current Pakistani government.

According to this political movement, meaningful dialogue can help improve relations and reduce the level of tensions.

This political movement also emphasized that the Afghan Taliban must ensure that the territory of Afghanistan is not used against the security of Pakistan.

He said in a press conference: “Both sides must always keep the doors of dialogue open.”

He further stated that the deterioration of Pakistan-Afghanistan relations has been caused by their rulers, not the people of the two countries who have supported each other for nearly 45 years.

The head of the Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan added that the unpleasant situation between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban is a sensitive issue and meaningful dialogue can help find a solution.

This comes as earlier this year, Mansoor Ahmad Khan, the former Pakistani ambassador to Kabul, announced that Islamabad’s relations with Afghanistan under Taliban rule have become incredibly dire.
