Taliban Prime Minister Arrives in Turkmenistan
Bayan News – Mullah Mohammad Hasan Akhund, the Taliban Prime Minister, has arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the inauguration of the TAPI project.
The Taliban office stated in a press release that the Prime Minister arrived in the “Selimchashma Mari” region of Turkmenistan on Wednesday morning (September 11).
The statement noted that the purpose of the Taliban Prime Minister’s visit is to attend the inauguration and the commencement of the TAPI project and other developmental projects, including oil and gas, energy, and transportation between the two countries.
According to the statement, the Taliban Prime Minister has met during this visit with Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, the leader of Turkmenistan.
It is expected that the gas pipeline project from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India (TAPI) will be inaugurated in the coming hours.
The first phase of this project has been completed in Turkmen territory.
