The Taliban welcome the joint statement of the foreign ministers of Iran, China, Pakistan, and Russia
Bayan News – Hamdullah Fitrat, the deputy spokesperson for the Taliban government, described the joint statement of the foreign ministers of China, Iran, Pakistan, and Russia regarding the current Kabul government as positive and welcomed it.
In a video on Saturday (September 28), the Taliban official stated: “We approve and welcome the positive positions of Russia, China, Pakistan, and Iran, which have recognized dialogue with the Islamic Emirate (Taliban) as a political solution.”
Fitrat said: “The reality is that political dialogues between countries pave the way for positive political interactions.”
He further clarified in the video: “We believe in constructive political engagement through dialogue. Just as we have positive relations with regional countries, we also want to develop political and economic relations with other countries around the world.”
This comes after the foreign ministers of Iran, Russia, China, and the defense minister of Pakistan discussed and consulted on Afghanistan on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
During this meeting, the Russian foreign minister stated that there is no alternative to the Taliban in governing Afghanistan.
