Taliban Political Official: Terrorist Groups in Afghanistan Are Imported

Bayan News – Abbas Stanikzai, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Taliban, has stated that terrorist groups in Afghanistan are imported and enter the country from the territory of some neighboring countries.

Stanikzai made these remarks on Sunday (October 6) during the Imam Abu Hanifa National Exhibition, which was held for three days in Kabul.

This Taliban political official emphasized that although terrorist groups have been eliminated in Afghanistan, they will not allow such groups to start a proxy war in the country.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Taliban clearly expressed that several terrorists have been arrested, and their bases were located outside Afghanistan.

Stanikzai said, “We will not allow anyone to use Afghanistan’s soil against the security of other countries. We have mutual relations, and we will not allow anyone to interfere in our internal affairs. We will stand firmly and bravely against those who create security threats.”

He added, “Just as we defeated the United States and NATO, we will also fight against imported terrorists who seek to start a proxy war in Afghanistan.”

This is not the first time a Taliban official has made such a claim; previously, Taliban government officials had also claimed that ISIS centers had been re-established in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, where they receive training and are then sent to Afghanistan.
