Pakistani Police Forces Fired at Pashtun Tahafuz Movement Tribal Jirga

Bayan News – According to a video circulating on social media, Pakistani police forces in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province prevented the holding of a tribal jirga of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) in the region.

The released footage shows that on Wednesday, October 9, Pakistani police opened fire on participants of this tribal jirga, resulting in the death of three members.

Additionally, reports indicate that 15 other members were injured in the shooting.

The large tribal jirga of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement was scheduled to take place next Friday in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This incident comes shortly after the Pakistani government officially banned the activities of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement in the country.

The Pakistani Ministry of Interior had announced that the activities of this movement were contrary to peace and security in the nation.
