Hamas Confirms the Death of Yahya Sinwar

Bayan News – A senior Hamas official confirmed on Friday (October 18) that Yahya Sinwar, the leader of the group, was killed in the war with the Israeli army.

Khalil al-Hayya, a member of Hamas’ political bureau, said in a video statement that Sinwar was killed in combat.

Meanwhile, Bassem Naim, another senior Hamas official, stated that the group will not disappear with the killing of its leaders.

In a statement, this member of Hamas’ political bureau said: “It seems that Israel believes that killing our leaders means the end of our movement and the Palestinian people’s struggle.”

Naim added that this is not the first time Israel has made such claims, referring to the deaths of previous Hamas leaders.

He further noted, “They have become symbols for future generations.”

This senior Hamas official also stated, “Losing beloved individuals, especially extraordinary leaders like ours, is very painful and distressing. What we are certain of is that ultimately, we will achieve victory; this is the outcome for all those who fought for their freedom.”

It is noteworthy that Yahya Sinwar was killed on Wednesday in the city of Rafah during ground combat with Israeli forces.
