Bayan News – Hamid Karzai and Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, political figures from Afghanistan, have condemned Israel’s attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran, calling it a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
On Saturday (October 26), Hamid Karzai issued an official statement regarding the incident, stating that he condemns Israel’s attack on Iran, which he views as an infringement on the sovereignty and national borders of this close neighbor.
The former president of Afghanistan added in his message: “Such attacks contribute to increased tension in the region and pose a threat to international peace and security.”
This Afghan political leader called on relevant international authorities to take appropriate measures to prevent further escalation of tensions in the region.
Meanwhile, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah also released a statement condemning Israel’s attack on Iran and emphasized that Israel’s reckless actions would only escalate and prolong the conflict in the region.
In Abdullah’s statement, he said, “We have received with concern the news that, following the human rights violations in the past year in Gaza, the West Bank, recent aggressive attacks in Lebanon, and the killing of five journalists reporting in Lebanon, this morning the Israeli military targeted sites in Afghanistan’s western neighbor.”
He further stated, “While we strongly condemn Israel’s provocative attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran, we stress that Israel’s reckless actions will not only expand and prolong the war in the region and lead to new military alignments, but will also bring severe consequences for civilians and innocent people in our region.”
On Saturday morning, the Israeli military conducted a three-phase attack on several military targets in the provinces of Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam.
Officials from the Islamic Republic have confirmed the attacks and stated that Tehran is prepared to respond to Israel.
