Trump Criticizes U.S. Withdrawal from Afghanistan Once Again

Bayan News – Donald Trump, former President of the United States and Republican candidate in the 2024 election, has once again criticized the manner of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, stating that the Bagram Airbase should not have been abandoned.

In his latest interview, Trump described the withdrawal from Afghanistan as “horrible” and “a big mistake.” According to him, American soldiers should have been the last to leave Afghanistan, not the first as part of the plan.

Throughout his campaign, Trump has frequently pointed to the issue of the Afghanistan withdrawal as a tool against the Democrats’ campaign, led by Kamala Harris.

In his recent interview, the former president highlighted the strategic significance of the Bagram Airbase, which he claimed is located near a site where China produces nuclear weapons. He emphasized that the U.S. should not have abandoned this base.

This marks yet another instance in which this leading U.S. candidate has criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the Afghanistan exit.
