Bayan News – Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, confirmed for the first time that the explosions of Hezbollah’s pagers in Lebanon were carried out by the Israeli government.
According to Israeli media, Netanyahu stated on Sunday (November 10) during an Israeli cabinet meeting that the operation to explode the pagers and kill Hassan Nasrallah, the former Secretary General of the group, was conducted despite opposition from senior Israeli defense officials.
Approximately three months ago, Hezbollah members’ pagers in Lebanon exploded in two stages, resulting in at least 12 deaths and nearly three thousand injuries.
According to international media reports, Hezbollah members used these pagers for communications to avoid surveillance by the Israeli government.
Following this event, direct conflict between Hezbollah and the State of Israel began.
