Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Arrives in Kabul

Bayan News – Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan, announced on Wednesday morning (December 24) his visit to Kabul.

He wrote on the platform X that he traveled to Kabul at the head of a Pakistani delegation and intends to hold constructive talks with officials of the interim government regarding relations between the two countries.

Mohammad Sadiq added that his visit to Kabul has been warmly received by the interim government.

Mr. Sadiq also served as Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan from 2020 to 2022.

This Pakistani official has returned to his position at a time when relations between the interim government and Islamabad had entered a new phase of tensions.
