Bayan News – The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the actions of the Taliban, which involve public executions of accused individuals and the oppression of women in Afghanistan, in a statement.
The ministry has called on the Taliban to also abolish their policy of oppression and marginalization of Afghan women.
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has described the Taliban’s actions as horrifying and stated that this decision further violates the rights and fundamental freedoms of women by this group, referring to recent statements made by the Taliban leader.
According to France, the United Nations Security Council considers respect for women’s rights as a prerequisite for any negotiations, and failure to comply with this requirement will prevent any meaningful interaction.
Mullah Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Taliban, had recently stated that public punishments would be carried out against the accused, and women accused would continue to be stoned and whipped in public.
These statements by the Taliban leader have sparked international reactions and have been widely condemned.
On the other hand, the Taliban view the issue of Afghan women and girls as interference in the internal affairs of the country and have consistently requested that other countries refrain from intervening.
