Abbas’ Request to the United States: Prevent Israel from Continuing the Attack on Rafah

Bayan News – Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian autonomous body, has requested the United States to prevent the expansion of Israeli attacks on the city of Rafah.

The leader of the Palestinian autonomous body made this request on Sunday, April 28, during a special session of the World Economic Forum in Saudi Arabia.

Mahmoud Abbas stated in his remarks, “We ask the United States to urge Israel not to continue the attack on Rafah.”

He added, “The United States is the only country that can restrain Israel from committing this crime.”

Furthermore, he continued to say, “What will happen in the coming days is that Israel will launch an attack on Rafah, as all the Palestinians from Gaza have gathered there. A single small attack will force the Palestinian people to flee from the Gaza Strip.”

The leader of the Palestinian autonomous body expressed concern that if Israel attacks Rafah, it will result in the greatest tragedy in the history of the Palestinian people.

Bayan News – The majority of Israel’s cabinet supported Egypt’s proposal to prevent war in Rafah
