Bayan News – Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the West on Tuesday (May 28) in a press conference that if NATO allows Ukraine to use Western weapons in Europe, this will lead to a global conflict.
Putin said: “Continuous escalation of tension can have serious consequences, if these serious consequences occur in Europe, considering our equality in the field of strategic weapons, how will the United States behave? It’s hard to say whether they want a global conflict.”
The Russian president also stated: “The deployment of French forces to Ukraine will be another step towards a global conflict.”
This Russian warning comes after statements by the NATO Secretary-General. Stoltenberg had recently said that NATO members should allow Ukraine to attack the heart of Russia with Western weapons.
