Iranian and Tajik leaders emphasize the expansion of the Persian language

Bayan News – Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with Emomali Rahmon, the President of Tajikistan, and emphasized the expansion of the Persian language in Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

The President of Tajikistan recently traveled to Tehran to participate in the inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian as the ninth President of Iran.

This meeting, which took place on Tuesday (July 30), the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic has emphasized the preservation and expansion of the Persian language in Tajikistan and Afghanistan, and the prevention of some efforts to isolate this language.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic also stressed the need to develop a strategy to counter opposition to the expansion of Iran-Tajikistan relations.

Khamenei said in this meeting: “The Persian language is one of the important commonalities between Iran, Tajikistan and Afghanistan, and greater cooperation is needed to preserve and expand this language and prevent some efforts to isolate it.”

On the other hand, the President of Tajikistan also emphasized the strengthening of relations between the two countries in this meeting.

In the inauguration ceremony of the President of Iran, officials from more countries in the region, including the Taliban delegation led by Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Political Deputy Prime Minister, participated.
