Increased Iranian Threats; US Department of Defense Deploys More Fighter Jets to the Middle East

Bayan News – Coinciding with Iran’s potential retaliatory action against Israel, the US Department of Defense announced on Friday (August 2) that it will deploy more fighter jets and warships to the Middle East to counter Iranian attacks.

According to reports, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has approved the deployment of more fighter jets and warships to the Middle East and Europe.

It is said that the United States is seeking to strengthen its defense system in the Middle East after the increase in Iran’s threats and its proxy groups, including Hamas and Hezbollah.

In response to the threat by Iranian officials to avenge the blood of Ismail Haniyeh, the US is increasing its security measures.

The Pentagon said in a statement: “Austin has ordered changes to the US military posture to improve the protection of US forces, increase support for Israel’s defense, and ensure that the United States is prepared to respond to various scenarios.”

The US had already deployed additional forces to the region prior to Iran’s attack on Israel on April 13. US forces played a key role in defending against Iran’s drone and missile attacks on Israel.
