UNICEF: 38,000 people displaced in Afghanistan in six months
Bayan News – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has reported that in the first six months of the current year, 38,000 people in Afghanistan have been displaced from their areas due to climate changes and natural disasters.
This agency wrote on the X platform on Monday (August 5) that a large part of these displaced people are children.
UNICEF also stated that this figure has increased compared to 2023.
The United Nations Children’s Fund, in this report, cited the reasons for the displacement as drought, temperature rise, floods, landslides, rainfall and storms.
