A three-day exhibition was held in Takhar to support entrepreneurial women
Bayan News – A three-day exhibition of domestic products and handicrafts of women was held in Takhar province with the support of the International Labor Organization (ILO) to support the economic activities of women.
This exhibition, which was held on Tuesday, August 6th under the title “Afghan Domestic Products”, the organizers said that domestic products and handicrafts were displayed in 40 booths.
Zabihullah Ahmadi, the organizer of this exhibition in Takhar, added that out of the 40 booths, 20 were allocated to women entrepreneurs, with the aim of promoting domestic production and women’s handicrafts.
However, a number of women entrepreneurs and producers welcome the opening of this exhibition and consider the holding of such exhibitions effective for the growth of their activities.
Meanwhile, these women entrepreneurs are asking the Taliban to create a specific place for women so that they can sell their products every day.
On the other hand, the officials of the Taliban’s Department of Commerce and Industries in Takhar say that this department supports the small businesses of women and economic growth.
According to them, the Department of Commerce and Industries plans to create a special market for women in this province in the near future.
However, although the Taliban has imposed severe social and political restrictions on Afghan women and girls, they have somewhat opened up the hands of women in the field of commerce and the economy.
According to statistics from the Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, about five thousand trade licenses have been issued for women over the past three years.
