The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has recently announced that it is unaware of the fate of Mahmoud Habibi, an Afghan-American citizen, and has had no information about him for the past two years.
In the statement issued by the FBI on Saturday (August 10), it was mentioned that Habibi was arrested on August 10, 2022, along with 29 other employees of a telecommunications company, but the others were released, except for Mahmoud Habibi.
The statement further requested that the general public share any relevant information about Habibi with the agency.
According to the reports, it is said that this Afghan-American citizen is being held in custody on suspicion of revealing the location of the Al-Qaeda leader to an American, but the Taliban authorities have not yet responded to these reports.
