Report: Hamas Group Will Not Participate in the Second Round of Ceasefire Talks

Bayan News – Reuters news agency, citing its own sources, has reported that the Hamas group will not participate in the second round of ceasefire talks with Israel.

According to this report, the second round of ceasefire talks was supposed to be held on Thursday (August 15) in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and the Israeli government has sent a delegation to participate in this meeting.

The report states that the Hamas group is demanding a halt to Israeli attacks as a condition for returning to the negotiating table, and believes that instead of further negotiations, it is better to pave the way for the implementation of the plan proposed by Joe Biden, which was apparently prepared by the Israelis.

On the other hand, Axios has also reported that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has postponed his trip, which was supposed to take place two days ago.

It is said that the United States has cancelled this trip due to the fear of a possible Iranian attack coinciding with the presence of the US Secretary of State in the Middle East.

Reuters, citing three senior Iranian officials, has reported that only a ceasefire in Gaza can deter Tehran from direct retaliation against Israel.

American, Egyptian and French diplomats are trying to prevent the continuation of tensions in the Middle East and establish a ceasefire in Gaza.
