Iran Denies Interfering in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election

Bayan News – The Iranian mission to the United Nations said last night (August 19) that Tehran has not interfered in any way in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

An unnamed Iranian official at the UN mission stated that Tehran has no goal or motivation to interfere in the U.S. presidential election.

The Iranian official said: “If the U.S. government is sincere in this claim, it should provide us with the documents so that we can respond to them.”

According to the report by the Islamic Republic News Agency, the official stated that Iran has no target or plan for a cyber attack, and the U.S. election is an internal matter for that country.

These statements come a few days after Donald Trump, the Republican candidate in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, claimed that his election documents had been breached by Iranian hackers.

Furthermore, Kamala Harris also alleged that foreign hackers supported by Iran had infiltrated the U.S. election system.
