Bayan News – Local sources in Nangarhar province report that a young man committed suicide in this province due to the rejection of his marriage proposal by the girl he loved.
According to the sources, this incident occurred last night (August 27) in the fourth district of Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province.
The young man was identified as “Rohid” and ended his life with a gunshot.
Taliban security officials have not commented on this incident.
Recently, the rate of suicide among young people in Afghanistan, particularly in the provinces of Kandahar, Nangarhar, Bamiyan, and Daykundi, has increased.
Domestic violence, economic problems, poverty, and an uncertain future are considered factors contributing to suicide in Afghanistan.
