UN Special Rapporteur: Investigations Must Be Conducted on the Recent Attack in Kabul
Bayan News – Richard Bennett, the UN Special Rapporteur for Afghanistan, has called for a thorough investigation into the recent incident in Kabul.
On Wednesday morning (September 4), Bennett wrote on the platform X that those responsible for the deadly attack that occurred on Monday in Kabul should be identified and brought to justice.
According to Richard Bennett, this attack was shocking and nothing justifies such violence.
Bennett expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, adding, “Those responsible must be brought to justice after a complete investigation and a fair trial.”
On the evening of Monday (September 3), in the Darulaman area of Kabul, a suicide bomber targeted employees of the Taliban’s Office of Supervising and Following Up on Decrees and Orders.
These employees were attacked as they were leaving the office after finishing work.
The Taliban police in Kabul reported that in this attack, six people, including one woman, were killed and 13 others were injured.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for this attack.
