Reactions to the shooting of the Hazaras; despite Taliban claims, the series of killings of Hazaras continues
Bayan News – Political figures in Afghanistan and the Shiite Council of Scholars condemned the shooting of Hazara civilians in Daykundi province by ISIS.
The Afghan Shiite Council of Scholars stated in a communiqué on Friday (September 13) that terrorist groups brutally killed 14 innocent citizens from the districts of “Sangtakht and Bandar” in Daykundi province and also injured six others.
The council urged the Taliban to urgently arrest the perpetrators of this crime and bring them to justice.
The statement from the Shiite Council of Scholars noted that this incident shows that, despite some claims, the series of brutal acts of killing innocent people continues, and undoubtedly, it is the responsibility of the Taliban government to fight more seriously against these insecurities.
Additionally, Hamid Karzai, the former president of Afghanistan, also condemned this event, calling it savage.
In Karzai’s message, he stated: “The savage killing and shooting of civilians in Daykundi province is a terrorist act and a crime against humanity and Islam.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, the head of the High Council for Reconciliation of the former Afghan government, also condemned the attack on Hazara civilians in a message.
Mr. Abdullah added that 14 innocent residents of Daykundi province were ruthlessly shot by unidentified armed individuals on the Daykundi – Ghor road.
However, after the afternoon of Thursday (September 22), four armed individuals on motorcycles shot 14 Hazaras in the border area of Daykundi – Ghor.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for this incident.
