Eight Dead and 2,700 Injured; Hezbollah Threatens Israel with Retaliation
Bayan News – Arab media recently reported that after the explosion of personal communication devices, such as pagers, in Lebanon, the condition of 200 injured individuals is critical.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced yesterday evening (September 17) that as a result of the explosion of these personal communication devices, eight people have died, and more than 2,700 have been injured.
The ministry stated that 200 of the injured are in critical condition.
Hours after this incident, Hezbollah in Lebanon issued an official statement, threatening Israel with retaliatory action and emphasizing that it will continue its support operations in the Gaza Strip.
According to published reports, at the same time as Lebanon, personal communication devices also exploded in Syria.
The Islamic Republic holds Israel and the United States responsible for this large-scale attack, though the U.S. claims to have no knowledge of such a plan.
