According to the report, the tricolor flag of Afghanistan will not be taken down from the embassy building and will remain flying.

However, the Afghan embassy in London had announced that, at the official request of the UK government, it will be officially closed on September 27 of this year.

Diplomatic sources had stated that the UK has asked the diplomats of the Afghan embassy in London to hand over the embassy to the UK government by the end of September.

According to the report from BBC Persian, the UK Foreign Office also stated on September 9 that it will continue humanitarian support for Afghanistan, but since the Taliban government has dismissed staff, this embassy and its consular affairs will be closed.
