Israel-Hezbollah War: Saudi Foreign Minister Warns the Region is Spiraling Out of Control
Bayan News – As violence between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon escalates, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, has warned that the regional situation is spiraling out of control.
On Friday (September 27), the Saudi Foreign Minister told Al Arabiya that security risks in the region are more serious than ever, and effective measures must be taken now to find a solution to prevent these dangers.
He also stressed the need to halt Israel’s attacks, reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, and establish peace in the region.
During a meeting in New York, the Saudi Foreign Minister further emphasized the importance of pursuing a political solution to end the Gaza crisis, stating that it is time to actively work towards implementing the two-state solution.
At this meeting, titled “The Situation in Gaza and Implementing the Two-State Solution as a Path to Achieving a Just and Comprehensive Peace,” the Saudi Foreign Minister added: “The creation of a Palestinian state is the result of joint efforts between Europe and the Arab world.”
The Saudi minister said, “On behalf of the Arab and Islamic countries and our European partners, we announce that this international coalition for implementing the two-state solution has begun, and I invite everyone to attend the first meeting of this coalition in Saudi Arabia to help achieve peace.”
Saudi Arabia’s warning about the deteriorating regional situation comes as Israeli fighter jets targeted Hezbollah’s command headquarters in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, yesterday.
