Taliban Governor in Kabul: Capital Residents Face Severe Shortage of Drinking Water

Bayan News – Taliban officials in Kabul have expressed concern over the severe shortage of drinking water for the capital’s residents and have called for assistance from international organizations.

Aminullah Obaid, the Taliban governor of Kabul, held a meeting on Saturday, October 12, with representatives of foreign organizations, urging them to cooperate in the supply and management of water in Kabul.

He stated, “The water shortage issue in the capital is serious.”

Taliban-affiliated media have also reported that residents of Kabul constantly face difficulties in accessing drinking water.

Additionally, the Taliban’s Ministry of Energy and Water had previously announced that half of Kabul’s population does not have access to clean drinking water.

The ministry has urged Kabul residents to conserve water in their usage.
