Potential Airstrike on Kyiv; U.S. Embassy in Ukraine Temporarily Closed
Bayan News – American media outlets have reported that the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, has been temporarily closed due to the potential threat of an airstrike.
On Wednesday, November 20, Reuters reported, citing the U.S. State Department’s consular section, that Kyiv could face a potential airstrike.
According to the State Department, as a precautionary measure, the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv will be temporarily closed, and embassy staff have been instructed to shelter in place.
The department has also advised American citizens in Ukraine to immediately seek shelter if they hear air raid sirens.
This warning comes a day after the Ukrainian military launched long-range missile strikes on western regions of Russia using American-provided weaponry.
Moscow had previously warned that it would deliver a strong and decisive response if Ukraine used Western-supplied weapons.
