Iranian Border Guards Shoot Dead Three Afghan Migrants

Bayan News – The human rights organization Halwash has reported the latest case of three Afghan migrants killed by gunfire from the border forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On Monday (November 25), the organization, citing its sources, reported that at least three Afghan migrants were shot in the Saravan district of Sistan and Baluchistan province, Iran, over the past two days.

According to the report, the Afghan migrants were attempting to enter Saravan when Iranian border guards opened fire on them.

Halwash clarified that these migrants, accompanied by local guides and smugglers, were trying to enter Iran through unofficial routes.

The Islamic Republic authorities have not commented on this incident.

This is not the first time border forces have fired on Afghan migrants entering Iran illegally.

Last month, it was reported that Iranian border guards opened fire on a large group of Afghan migrants, with at least 250 reportedly killed or injured in the attack.

Some of the bodies and injured individuals from that incident were transported to the Afghan provinces of Herat and Kabul.
