Azizi: We Want to Access European Markets Through Turkey
Bayan News – Nooruddin Azizi, the Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Taliban’s interim government, traveled to Istanbul on Tuesday, November 26, to participate in the International “Halal” Exhibition.
The Halal International Exhibition is being held from November 26 to 29 in Istanbul, where Afghan products such as carpets, precious stones, and dried fruits are being displayed in eight booths.
The interim government’s Minister of Commerce added that he is seeking to establish a trade corridor through Turkey to European markets.
He said, “Afghan products, especially carpets, have a good market. We want to create a corridor through Turkey to access European markets.”
This comes at a time when Turkey and other European countries do not recognize the Taliban’s interim government.
However, the Turkish government has established good economic and political relations with the Taliban regime.
