The 22nd Doha Forum Begins; Afghanistan is Part of the Agenda
Bayan News – The 22nd Doha Forum commenced on Saturday, December 7, in Doha, the capital of Qatar, with the participation of high-ranking officials from countries around the world.
According to information published on the Doha Forum’s official website, the conference was inaugurated with a speech by Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar. Leaders and senior officials from across the globe will engage in discussions on critical issues.
While the primary focus of the forum is Syria and Gaza, it has also been announced that Afghanistan is part of the agenda.
In his opening address, the Emir of Qatar emphasized the importance of multilateral cooperation to address global challenges.
Additionally, published information reveals that key participants include Georgette Gagnon, Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations in Afghanistan; Rina Amiri, U.S. Special Envoy for Afghan Women; Adela Raz, former Afghan ambassador to the United Nations; Mohammad Qasim Halimi, former Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs; and Shinkai Karokhail, former member of Afghanistan’s parliament and women’s rights activist.
The Doha Forum will continue until the end of the week, hosting sessions on diplomacy, development, and human rights.
