The second meeting of Taliban political opponents in Vienna

The second meeting of political opponents of the Taliban was held in Austria today, Monday (April 24), and a number of political figures participated in this meeting in person and online.
Ahmad Massoud, the leader of the National Resistance Front, Fouzia Kofi, a former member of the House of Representatives, and Dr. Rangin Dadfar Sapenta, a former national security adviser, were among the members who participated in this meeting.
The participants of this meeting told the media that there was an emphasis on the closeness of political figures and unity among the anti-Taliban forces.
Dr. Rangin Dadfar Sapenta, the former national security advisor of Afghanistan, said that such meetings can provide the basis for the rapprochement of anti-Taliban political forces.
Sepenta added: “I hope that the proposals that have been made, including the creation of a working commission to discuss with other political forces, will be successfully accepted so that we can really expand the vast political front of the Taliban opposition.”
The meeting of political opponents of the Taliban has been held in Vienna, the capital of Austria, hosted by the International Institute of this country.
This institute had invited more than forty people as guests, among them, a number of prominent political figures could not or did not want to participate.
