Human Rights Watch: There is no unified view among the special representatives of countries for Afghanistan

Human Rights Watch has said in a statement that there is a difference of opinion among the countries’ special envoys for Afghanistan regarding the protection of the people of this country, and this indicates a difference in the United Nations Security Council.

Human Rights Watch’s statement was published yesterday and it quoted Patricia Gassman, the head of the Asian department of this organization, as saying that only a change in the attitude of the caretaker government in Kabul can provide the basis for Afghanistan’s interaction with the world.

According to Gusman, unfortunately, there are differences among the countries’ special representatives for Afghanistan regarding the approach to the Taliban, which reflects the differences in the UN Security Council.

This observer asked the special representatives of the United Nations member states for Afghanistan to firmly support the rights of the Afghan people in the Doha meeting.

Meanwhile, the Doha international meeting will be held in the next four days hosted by the United Nations, and in this meeting, the political situation in Afghanistan, the humanitarian crisis and the restrictions against women and girls will be discussed.
