Extraction of oil from a new well in Qashqari mine, Sarpol province has begun

The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has announced that the extraction of oil from a new well in Qashqari mine, Sarpol province has begun with a Chinese company.

The opening ceremony of the extraction of oil from this new well was held on Saturday, July 8th, with the presence of Shahrabuddin Dala, the acting minister of the ministry, and the head of the Chinese company.

According to the ministry’s newsletter, the acting minister of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum stated that this well has the capacity to extract 70 to 100 tons of oil per day, and 15 other wells will also be ready for oil extraction by the end of the year.

Based on this newsletter, with the drilling and repair of these 15 new wells, more than one thousand tons of oil will be extracted daily, and its revenue will be used for the reconstruction of the country.

However, last year, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum also awarded a 25-year contract for the extraction of oil from the Amu Darya maritime field to a Chinese company called “CPEIC”.
