Some Afghan nurses and midwives are receiving vocational training in Iran
Bayan News – Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the special representative of the Iranian President for Afghanistan, stated that, based on the signed agreement of cooperation with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), a number of Afghan nurses and midwives will receive vocational training.
He wrote today, Tuesday(August 28), on the X Network that he had discussed international support for Afghan refugees in Iran in a meeting with Stefan Prisner, the UN coordinator in Iran.
According to Qomi, the development of diplomacy with the United Nations in support of Afghan refugees residing in Iran is one of the objectives of the country.
The special representative of the Iranian President for Afghanistan further stated that a cooperation agreement has been signed between the Ministry of Health of Afghanistan and the United Nations Population Fund with the aim of training and improving the skills of a number of Afghan nurses and midwives.
Qomi expressed optimism that this agreement will lead to the expansion of Iran’s cooperation with the United Nations in the field of Afghanistan.
